I really enjoy a good run, but sometimes I have every excuse in the book to not pick up the pace. Thankfully, walking is one of the easiest forms of exercise.
In terms of burning calories, running for three miles burns more calories per minute. But walking for three miles--though it may take longer--burns the same amount of calories.
Of course, walking is easier on the joints, and most people find it easier to incorporate into their daily lives than running. Furthermore, studies show that walkers tend to keep off more of the weight they lose than runners... So get a move on!
