Since you always look so cute and know up-to-date styles, I wanted to get your opinion on raincoats/trench coats, rain boots, etc. Have you found any cute rain gear this season? I'm lost and don't know where to look.
I walk 3 miles to class and 3 miles back, and with the recent rain, I have had to cancel a few of my scheduled Lithe classes-I didn't feel like going swimming : ) I'm tired of letting the rain stop my from getting to class! I need to find a rain outfit that looks cute and gets me to class nice and dry. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Paula
Good Question and kudos to you for walking to class! You're not alone-I notice that the weather here in Philly really comes between people and their fitness regimes. If it's raining, or snowing classes are usually at half-capacity. I suggest gearing up for rain and getting to class. It's not bad at all when you're dressed for the elements.
Sometimes the best way to put some fire into your fitness routine is to get some new gear. I chose items that are functional without compromising my sense of style. There are a lot of cute, sporty jackets out there that will keep you warm and dry yet they don't look like baggy rain gear.
Lululemon makes a great weight-less (super thin), water and wind resistant jacket called the Apex Jacket. Definitely purchase a pair of rubber Wellies-One of the best investments you'll ever make! Check out Hunter Boots or splurge on a pair of classic Burberry wellingtons (you'll have them forever).
Warm & dry hands are important when you're holding that umbrella-I have a pair of Athleta base gloves that I really like for rain. Alexandra Cassaniti makes unique, neoprene bags and leggings, Lug's Puddle Jumper is fantastic as well. If I have no errands to run, I just carry an umbrella and bag my purse...I use Lululemon's Travel Pooch III. It's surprisingly cute!
