Today I'm sore as hell. Like, I can barely walk up the stairs sore.
Between October 13th and November 17th , I was away for 25 days. Although 10 of those days were spent in Jamaica on our Lithe Escape, I still missed Lithing and getting down and dirty in the studio. On the last day of my honeymoon, I told Jordan that I was going stir crazy and just needed to be back in the studio and back to being active. I was sad, a little depressed and cranky.
On our flight back to Philly, I realized that Lithe is really within every aspect of my life. It still remains the hardest workout of my life and when I'm teaching and I look around the room at women just killing it at the barre and the bands I realize that we're all athletes. We may be competing against ourselves, but it's one heck of a sport. We're like our own cheerleaders, captains and coaches.
Lithing is the only thing that has ever really changed my body for the better but more importantly Lithing takes and creates focus, balance, endurance, cardiovascular stamina, coordination, strength, flexibility and real mental stamina-There's nothing else that will push anyone that far past the Immersion, past the first month of the unlimited and beyond. Mental stamina is what has gotten us all here and keeps us committed to our sport and ourselves. Funny how "mental" I get when Lithing is not a part of my everyday life : )
I love that I'm still a beginner and that I can still be challenged and changed when I create a new class or sequence (or when I come back from 12 days of total inactivity). I love that with Lithe there are infinite possibilities ahead of me and the workout and that is SO exciting and so inspiring. I'm so glad to be back!

A serious sinus infection with a horrible cough, the passing of my mother-in-law, and my mom in intensive care going on day 16 means I have missed Lithing for 26 days! Ugh...My mind and body miss it desperately! Life has been a blurr since the last week of October and I need Lithe back in my life more than ever. I'm jumping back in with Lithe 101 this weekend. Can hardly wait.
