Whew, just got back.
We had a fabulous time in the DR and what a wedding weekend it was. I can't really put it into "rational" words. I know that everyone feels that their own wedding is awesome, but seriously, for me the weekend was just over the top amazing-Chill, fun and just perfect.
Thursday night we invited everyone over to Casa Kimball for sweets and nightcaps upon their arrival, on Friday we had meringue, music, cocos frios and a giant bonfire at our beach bbq rehearsal dinner. Everything was made locally and then donated from the hand-made pillows and blankets to the food and flowers. On Saturday, I began my stress-free wedding day in the pool and I ended it in the hot-tub with about 25 of my friends. It couldn't have been better.
As you all know, planning a wedding takes a good bit of time-Time that i didn't really have so I have to give credit when credit is due! Thanks to Spencer Kimball, our planner Monica and staff for allowing us to take over Casa Kimball (Spencer, you really know how to live!).
Thanks to our families and friends who were part of the event: Adam Porter of Philadelphia (AKA B5/Milkcrate Cafe) DJ'd, Deb Rosenberg of Redken NYC for hair, Dawn Episcopo on makeup and we had three professional photographers (Jordan's brother & best man, Stuart Goldenberg, Dominic Episcopo and my aunt, Laura Holloman Boggi) in attendance so we got plenty of creative pictures of the weekend.
Thanks to my girls: Carrie Gero, Laurie Leas Goldenberg and Lauren Fritzche for your months of work, Liz Solms for helping me out with some big planning when I was too stressed to think about my wedding and a special thanks to those who traveled near and as far as the UK to be with us, those who traveled with babies and kids and the very 8 month pregnant (she just got over the chicken pox too!) Dawn Tricolli Episcopo for being there and making me look beautiful on my big day.
