Lets talk about a body part that's really close to our hearts. Do you find this image shocking or indecent? Well, I'm trying to get your attention! Ladies, one finger once a month can help stop the disease that affects one in eight women and kills about 40,000 women every year.
I do my self breast exam on the first of every month. Mark your calendar or set an appointment on your PDA to check yourself monthly. I find it easiest to check in the shower or in front of a mirror with adequate lighting.
Start with the areola and move outward in a circular fashion. Don't forget your pits. Be aware of any lumps, round balls or changes in general. Also, remember to look closely for any changes in the skin...Grab that magnifying glass! See your doctor if you notice anything unusual. Find it here.
Don't think it could happen to you? Need a reality check? You all Lithe with many "Lithe Pink" Lithers and survivors in our classes everyday. Check out some beautiful images from last years post.

This past Monday at Northern Liberties, I snapped this picture of long-time Lither, Christine V. (AKA "Keever") before our 5:45pm Floored class. Here she is at 30 weeks with twin girls. Yes, there are TWO in there and they are currently weighing in at 3 lbs. each.
Keever feels great, looks amazing and is still Lithing at least twice a week with our pre-natal modifications. She's proof that you can Lithe and continue to work your abs throughout your pregnancy.
Hmm, the science and plan sounds very familiar AND now it's scientifically proven (click on image to read). It's exactly what we've been doing for years at Lithe to achieve our quick and amazing results!

Need a kick-start? Have you been in a bad food, no Lithe state of mind? Maybe you've been disorderly eating? It's time to get clean up your act, get conscious and back on track right before the holidays, ladies. We're here to help! During our June "10," 11 women lost over 65"... Here are our dates for the next Lithe "10".
We're holding the "10" at Northern Liberties on Tuesdays, Thursdays and on two Saturdays (free parking!). You can register online. Lithe "10" is a $300, 10 (75 minute per class) class program complete with a fantastic, flab-fighting Lithe meal plan.
Below are our set dates (much like the Immersion course). Lithers must pre-pay/pre-enroll in the "10." You will not be able to use existing class cards/unlimited monthly or "drop in" to Lithe "10" classes at a class card rate.

Here's a first look at our new studio in Old City. We're making progress...Construction is about to begin!
We Lithers spend a lot of time on our feet and depend on strong, supple feet to provide stability, finish a line and support a jump/plyo's landing. One of the many bad habits that I see during classes is that many Lithers disconnect with the floor.
How do you know if you disconnect? Your feet will "lift" off the mat during ab-work or tricep dips. At the barre, you'll have persistent calf pain, your jump landings will be loud, your mat will slide around... And you can see it-there is no work in the feet while Lithing; They tend to look lifeless with no metatarsal articulation.
How do you correct it? As you lift up to do a lunge or liberty, push down through the floor as you use your core to lift you in opposition. Directing weight through the feet into the mat/floor creates a better quality of movement but it also generates the downward energy you need to propel the body upward during liberty, lunges, sumo's, jumps & plyo's, etc.
