LITHE CALORIE COUNTS! 28 Oct 2010
We're burning up! What have you been burning...We want to know! We've been tracking our classes and these results are the averages taken from three female Lithers of average weight/height in a variety of 60 minute Lithe Method workouts.
Individual results will vary depending on YOU. How do you get your best burn? Remember that the harder you work, the better your form is, breathing (oxygen to muscle/cardiac output) and knowledge of our Lithe Method basic principals, the greater your burn will be!
FYI, These numbers do not include the "after-burn." It's true that your metabolism stays torched long after you stop Lithing. One study found that women burned more calories for up to 67 hours after an intense 40 minute cardio workout, but that "after burn" effect should be calculated for just one additional hour, post-Lithing. The after burn effect typically tacks on an additional 300-600 calories burned per workout!

For those of you Lither who are at the start or in the middle of MAJOR LOSSES- you can burn up to twice the amount of calories in your session. It's a nice little benefit- it takes more calories to the same work when you got a little or a lot more weight on you. So give yourself props that you are able to finish the workout-- you've done more actual calorie burning, your still standing, and you are healthier.

Very true! It's a nice little perk : ) The women that we tracked have been Lithing for a while and one was yours truly (I tend to burn less due to my height and weight), so you can expect MUCH higher burns. Good Advice, Melissa!
