ASK THE INSTRUCTOR! 21 Aug 2012
Lithers often ask me if wearing the Cinch bands really make a difference in the workout. The answer is, yes! They do. There's always a method to the Lithe madness. The Lithe "bellly band" or haramaki really "tones in" on your abs by keeping in heat and increasing circulation to the abdominals which really helps to get rid of stubborn belly bulge. Bonus? It works a touch on your tush too! Of course, you get a great workout in Cinch without the belly band, but you will experience a new level of sore (and awareness) with it.

What are some other good classes to wear the band in?

Sandy, you can purchase a Cinch band ($45) at Lithe Rittenhouse, Old City or our Main Line Studios. It really brings Cinch to a whole new level! The bands will soon be available for purchase on-line via our website.
Melza, our Cinch bands are great to give additional abdominal awareness to any of our workouts, but it's great for classes such as Cinch (it was created for Cinch), and can also be used for our other total body/Ab-focused classes: A-List Abs, Waist Not, Floored, Thinny, Waspie and even Hipster!
They are also just plain great to wear during the fall/winter for added warmth.
