HEALTHY SHORE ESSENTIALS! 13 Aug 2012
Like me, many of you are spending time at the shore soaking up the end of the summer. You've been entertaining and you probably have kids AND men in the house. It can be difficult to maintain healthy habits when you’re feeding others and partying at night.
I find that if I don't stock-up on some key items, I really feel unhealthy and not so hot in my bikini: kale (steamed kale, kale chips and smoothies), Turmeric and lemons (for my AM and post-workout water), Dr. Bragg Sprinkle Seasoning (sub for salt), Dr. Bragg Liquid Aminos 6oz. spray (I substitute for soy sauce with sushi/fish and spray on my veggies/salads) and Sea Snacks family pack (a great alternative for bread and chips!).

Lauren, you add tumeric to your water (with lemon)? How much do you usually add?

Hey Betty, I do! Just a shake or two/sometimes a tsp. Just once a day. I find that it suppresses my appetite a bit and gives me energy. Start small, the taste takes some getting used to.

Thanks! Will have to try it! I haven't be able to figure out another way to use up my tumeric.
