Dutch!

Go Dutch!  This lean and lively outdoor workout truly raises the "barre" on detoxification, toning, and is a whole lotta fun.  Looking to boost your metabolism in just one week?  With a "burn rate" of up to 800 calories per hour (0.1 calories consumed per jump), ten minutes of jumping rope is roughly the equivalent of running an eight-minute mile.  Go Dutch at least once a week to get one step closer to absolutely amazing results!

Ooh! Question: How much running is involved in this class?

Hey S, there is a decent amount, but it's more like a Hot-stepper, so you'll be walking, jogging, skipping, sashy-ing until you get to your location. And then you'll be doing a lot of fun jumping techniques and timed work along with our push-up sequence :)

Just in case you want to know about knees: In contrast to running, jumping rope is unlikely to lead to knee damage since the impact of each jump or step is absorbed by the balls of both feet rather than the heels which decreases the ground reaction forces through the patella-femoral joint. Dutch may be okay for anyone with knee issues or those who cannot run.

I LOVE jumping rope! Let's start a double dutch club! Reminds me of recess when I was a kid...
