EATING LITHE! 13 Sep 2012
Millet is something that most of us have heard of, but not many of us have used in our own kitchens. If you haven't incorporated it in your pantry yet, it's a good one to consider. This tiny "grain" is gluten-free and packed with vitamins and minerals. In fact, while it's often called a grain, millet is actually a seed. A few good reasons to love it:
- Does NOT feed pathogenic yeast (species of yeast that can cause infection)
- Provides serotonin to calm and stabilize moods
- Helps hydrate your colon to keep you regular
- Is alkaline (a ph value of greater than 7)
- Digests easily
- Filling
