ME ON MONDAY (HAPPY IN LOVE). 5 Aug 2013
My Mars celebrated his 2nd birthday on Tuesday, July 30th (there he is above with his favorite gift) and Jordan and I celebrated with a little party for him at our house. I think that he had the most fun, EVER. When Mars woke up the next day he finally said I love you back! It's pretty unforgettable to hear that for the first time. I feel like I've been saying I love you for two years, and like every parent, I've been waiting for that moment when he would respond. I love that he is able to label his feelings/emotions now. I remember reading once that to be loved is to be changed; To love is to be happy. Why? Because love is the most fun that you can have with anyone. We all know that parenting is love in motion, but beyond hugs, kisses, and telling your children that you love them, what are some of the things that you guys do to show your kids that you love them without using the words?
