THE MARGARITA! 16 Apr 2014

My brother-in-law Stu makes a killer Margarita without any sugar-laden mixers.  Give it a shot, it's a guaranteed  killer arm workout!

To make a pitcher, use equal parts Silver tequila, triple sec, and juice.  To make the juice, you'll want half fresh-squeezed lime juice, 1/4 Roses lime juice and 1/4 orange, grapefruit, or pineapple juice.  Place ice cubes in rocks glasses, shake margarita mixture in a cocktail shaker, and then strain into rocks glasses and enjoy!

Disagree! If you have the limes, skip the Rose's lime and use all lime juice. (Personally, I do 2 parts tequila, one part lime, one part triple sec, but Stu and I can disagree on that.) Rose's is a "sugar-laden mixer." Second ingredient in Rose's = high fructose corn syrup.

Any healthier alternative to triple sec?

A, this is from a "HE" : ) I meant like, total out of the bottle sweet n sour "Margaritaville" mix. This recipe is super delish, even with the triple and the Rose's, but it's not a "skinny" Margarita. It's def a man's recipe that everyone will love.

Aly, you can absolutely sub the triple sec. Check this article out. It's great! http://www.americanmixologist.net/pages/amo/vlm22/22-02a11.htm
