PRE-SUMMER LITHE "10" 30 May 2012

Lithe "10"

Here's to achieving your best you right before Summer.  Our "10" is back! Due to a lack of studio space, our "10" program has been MIA for over a year and now we're adding in a Lithe Foods component to really give you the results you're looking for (read our philosophy).

Hear this often?:  "Tired of making excuses?" or, "Ready to lose the last 10 lbs for good?" I've always said that hard work in the studio really pays off and diet is 85%.  Ninety-nine percent of the time, weight loss claims are meaningless.  We all know that it's the ingredients that count the most. Our program truly has both.

How do you know if the Lithe "10" is for you?  Do you need a kick-start?  Have you been in a bad food, no Lithe state of mind?  Are you looking for a total lifestyle change?  Have you been disorderly eating?  Do you need a little extra help?  Do you want to become stronger?  If you're ready to clean up your act, get conscious and back on track right before the heat of summer, we're here to help.  During our last June "10," 11 women lost over 65 inches, 65 lbs and gained a whole lot more.

Our Lithe "10" is a one-month, ten (75 minute per class) class Lithe program capped at 12 people taught by Lithe Founder, Lauren Boggi Goldenberg and a few other select Lithe Instructors. We're holding our June "10" at Lithe Old City on Monday's, Wednesday's and two Saturday's beginning on June 18th.

Our program is complete with one, three-day Lithe Foods detox plan ($225 value) beginning on Tuesday, June 19th and a fantastic, flab-fighting Lithe meal plan for you to do at home for the remainder of the month.

Confused?  Here's the breakdown:

- Lithe 10 is a series of 10 classes over 4 weeks, with a meal plan/nutrition element.  It consists of:

- 10 classes, all of which are 75 minutes long (instead of 60), taught by selected staff (Lauren & Elizabeth Howe are teaching the bulk of them but you may see Lithe vets, Tif and Bari as well).  These classes are specially designed for you.

- A three-day Lithe Foods Detox plan to kick off the program

- A Lithe meal plan/menu for the remainder of the 4 weeks (it's a 1,500-1,700 calorie a day written out menu designed by Lauren.  You purchase the ingredients and make meals at home for yourself).

- Ten 75 minute classes, 1 Lithe Detox Plan ($225) and 4 weeks of menus = $550.

Below are our set dates (much like the Immersion course).  Lithers must pre-pay/pre-enroll in the "10" by calling any Lithe Studio.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to use existing class cards/unlimited monthly or "drop in" to Lithe "10" classes at a class card rate.

REBOOT TO A HEALTHIER YOU {BY STEPHANIE SOMERS}! 20 Mar 2012

lithe foods

Hi All-

I did my first 3 Day Lithe Foods Detox Meal plan and I thought you might like some feedback.

I decided to do it on a whim. When I saw you posted that there was one meal plan up for grabs, something inside me said, "Go for it!" You see, I have been super stressed lately and thought I generally do not eat junk, I do drink wine and coffee and could use a few more veggies in my daily regimen. But my goal was more to detox my mind more or less. I have always said the state of your mind reflects the state of your body.

My overall opinion of the meal plan is very good. I liked the convenience of not cooking! I loved that the plan was heavy on the juices and liquids since I never drink enough water and I really believe the liquids kept me hydrated through my Lithe workouts over the 3 days. The food tasted good but keep in mind I will consume anything regardless of flavor if I think it is good for me.

My energy level was a little low when I was doing my Lithe classes in the evening during the 3 Day Detox meal plan. But I just did my best and pushed through the classes at a less vigorous intensity. But interestingly my energy level during the day and especially my mind's clarity (which was really my reason for doing the detox) was super strong. I attribute that to the raw foods. I was surprised that the size of the meals were so small compared to my normal serving sizes. But I never craved for anything and was not hungry ever. Even when my assistant Mary and my husband Chris were eating french fries, drinking soda, and flaunting their delicious smelling sandwiches at me during lunch all 3 days! That tells me the meals were balanced. I typically get hungry a lot between meals.

The only alterations I made to the meal plan was adding a few celery sticks to the dinner meal and I dashed a little cayenne or added fresh ginger to the soup and salads just because I like foods that bite back! And today, day 4, really I miss the morning green drink that I enjoyed for breakfast over the past 3 days : (

Highly recommend for someone stressed or in need of some brain detox. I feel good and plan on incorporating this into my life seasonally.

Thanks guys. I think you are on to something here!

REBOOT TO A HEALTHIER YOU {BY NICOLE ROSSI}! 16 Mar 2012

Foods

For me, it was that time of year shortly after the holidays when all of the turkey, cookies, leftovers, bottles of champagne and my birthday festivities (because one night is never enough) at the end of January had finally caught up with me.

Talk about celebration-overload.

As a writer for various publications in Philadelphia, it's important for me to stay on top of events, restaurant and nightlife happenings around the city which means I very rarely turn down a cocktail or a new dish on the menu, and I often find myself not eating as healthy as I'd like to think I am while running between jobs, meetings, events and a social life.

After the last slice of cake was eaten, I knew I needed to try something that would help me reboot my system and put a red line through a diet that had taken over my lifestyle and needed some editing.

A cleanse of sorts was an idea I toyed with, but honestly, I used to write for a food and drink column, and I knew I couldn't survive alone on a seven-plus day liquid diet.

I consider going out to eat a hobby.

After some Twitter ranting (my apologies), Lithe Method approached me with a solution: an all vegan, mostly juice, three-day detox called Level 3: Lithest Meal Plan.

Already familiar with some of Lithe Method's fitness classes and prepared foods, I knew what the fit.hip.healthy lifestyle was all about, and I knew from experience that I liked what I had seen.

So, a quick glance at the three-day menu saw me a combo of tea, juice, smoothies and already-prepared portion-controlled meals like soups, salads and hummus totaling roughly 1,200 calories a day to sip and nibble on.

I need to nibble.

I began the detox on a Monday which meant my end of the week/weekend plans didn't have to be compromised, and my date for Thursday night wasn't going to stare at me oddly as I gulped my bottle of Greenie juice at our table for two.

The whole process from pick-up to the last spoonful of chocolate mousse (I kid you not) was easy, refreshing and best of all I enjoyed sipping and eating what I was putting into my new healthy self.

I still make my own blend of Lithe's addicting Horchata Shake.

After I completed (and even during) the detox, I noticed a positive change in my energy, my skin was beaming with clarity and brightness, and I learned that taking a few extra seconds to refill my glass of water and mix a simple salad (ahead of time if needed) benefits me so much more than reaching for the chips and salsa because I tell myself there's just not enough time.

In the end, what I thought was a quick-fix certainly wasn't doing me any favors as I agonized over what I had eaten for the day on top of spending the added time trying to burn off the unnecessary calories when I could have just had some colorful veggies tossed with a splash of olive oil, sunflower seeds and raisins à la Lithe's Detox Salad.

Not only do I love the delicious Level 3: Lithest Meal Plan, but I'm thankful Lithe Method was able to re-emphasize for me with a quick reboot to be more conscious of my diet through better, healthier substitutions and additions.

It really does mean a fit.hip.healthy you.
